I am sizzling with excitement to share the news of a new brand partnership. Given the proliferation of commodified luxury, it’s rare to be genuinely blown away by a hotel. However, One&Only One Za’abeel in Dubai truly took my breath away. It is, unequivocally, the best hotel in the world with two Michelin star restaurants, astonishing architecture, and the pioneering Longevity Hub by Clinique La Prairie.

From Dubai, we’ll traverse the continent of Africa in our custom-outfitted Emirates Executive Private Jet, landing in Cape Town to the warm embrace of Leeukoppie, the private estate of the legendary founder of One&Only, Sol Kerzner. The estate covers a 300-acre protected hillside stretching down to a pristine beach in Hout Bay. Just twenty minutes outside Cape Town, we’ll immerse in the best of the Mother City. We’ll dine atop Table Mountain and enjoy boma dinners under the stars. We’ll explore the origins of human consciousness through the Cape’s ancient trail of fynbos, a wildflower biome unique to this area and its coastal caves where evidence of humanity’s first moments of creativity and abstract thought emerged. From our secluded, coastal Cape Town haven we’ll fly north to the lush, mist-swirled rainforests of Rwanda. Defining this beautiful, tiny nation isn’t easy. Instead, The Land of a Thousand Hills is so many things at once: the safest country for tourists in Africa, a bastion of women’s empowerment with 61% female representation in parliament, and the rainforest home to 604 of our world’s last 1061 mountain gorillas. We’ll stay at two spectacular One&Only resorts, One&Only Nyungwe House in southwest Rwanda, where we’ll trek through tea plantations and the best-preserved rainforest in Africa to spend time with the playful, adrenalizing chimpanzees, before helicoptering onward to One&Only Gorilla’s Nest, nestled on the fringes of Volcanoes National Park that is home to Rwanda’s crown jewels, the mountain gorillas. These gentle giants share an astonishing 98% of our DNA. To meet their gaze beneath the rainforest canopy is a profoundly humbling, deeply emotional experience that stays with you forever. Having trekked seven times myself, I still find there will never be enough.

Our last stop involves a drastic change in landscape, from the mist-swirled rainforests and tea plantations of Rwanda, we’ll glide to the desert island escape of dreams, One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives. Rich in biodiversity, the North Male Atoll’s sandy shores and thriving marine life express nature’s creative genius. Located on one of the region’s largest private islands, with standalone villas nestled amongst lush greenery on pure white sands, One&Only Reethi Rah offers an abundance of space, freedom and personalized exploration. At every turn, a flower, a bird, a panorama to admire alongside some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving on the planet.
