Africa’s seismic pull is a feeling that those of us who have been fortunate enough to step on her rich soil know all too well. Once you’ve been to Africa, you never really leave. A part of your soul is always there, back where we began – the cradle of humanity. This undeniable pull toward the wide-open spaces and pristine nature of my home continent is constantly pushing us at ROAR AFRICA to do more, to think bigger… to look beyond.
A new frontier for adventure
A fervent desire to share the wild spaces, dear friends, and vibrant culture we know and love (coupled with unprecedented client demand) has inspired two new utterly extraordinary ROAR AFRICA adventures aboard the Emirates Executive Private Jet. And each adventure, with just 10 intrepid guests experiencing the unbridled comfort and luxury aboard our Emirates magic carpet, is wildly different. The insight, logistical detail, and pure passion that our ROAR AFRICA team has poured into these two once-in-a-lifetime itineraries will exceed even the greatest expectations. We’ve removed all the typical hassle and grind endemic to regular travel, creating a blissful ease rarely ever experienced as we move, allowing guests to immerse in the stillness and profound peace nature delivers.
Nature is our nurture
The first trip – (May 13-30, 2024) – is a journey of contrasts, showcasing the staggering topographic diversity of Africa's landscapes, from sea to safari, in one fell swoop. Together we'll explore the very best in wildlife, wild spaces, culture, food, and conservation across Namibia, South Africa, and Seychelles. Sand, Sea, City & Safari combines destinations rarely, if ever, paired together. From hot-air balloon rides across the multi-colored desert dunes of Namibia's storied Sossusvlei to the cultural and culinary wonders of Cape Town. From the Winelands to sapphire waters, ending in Seychelles at Four Seasons, Mahè Island, a glorious retreat encompassing a 150-acre stretch of emerald forest, pristine beach, and coral reefs in the idyllic Petite Anse Bay.
Our second new expedition – the Wildest Safari on Earth (September 11-24, 2024) – will be a rewilding odyssey across Africa’s most undisturbed wilderness areas in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Tanzania, and Rwanda. This transformative trip marries cutting-edge anti-poaching teams and game-changing black rhino relocation initiatives with rare wildlife sightings and deep seclusion in the most beautiful game reserves and national parks on the continent, all while staying at Singita lodges throughout.
Given that Zimbabwe’s Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve is world-renowned for its colorful orange, gold, and green masa trees, ancient rock-art sites, and elusive black rhino population, we knew we had to kick off the Wildest Safari on Earth in this inimitably wild place. Our next two stops take us from South Africa’s Sabi Sands to the vast plains of the Serengeti. And finally, to finish, one of the most, if not the most, moving experiences in nature: trekking with the mountain gorillas of Rwanda under the misty forest canopy of Volcanoes National Park.
Travel beyond
These distinct adventures are unlike anything we’ve ever done. And, of course, we aim to minimize the environmental impact of travel, purchasing carbon credits equivalent to all our emissions, contributing to wildlife preservation, and investing in the communities that host us at each step of each journey. Nature is our nurture, and passive ignorance of the environmental issues threatening these last precious wild spaces is not an option.
So, we invite you to travel beyond your wildest expectations and join us on one of these two life-changing journeys of discovery and conservation in Africa.
