“It’s unlike anything else you can do in Africa on one journey”
– Guest, September 2023
It was Oscar Wilde who wisely said that “Memory is the diary we all carry about with us.” Today, as our 7th Greatest Safari on Earth trip takes to the skies, soaring proudly toward our first stop – the iconic Victoria Falls in my homeland of Zimbabwe - aboard our Emirates magic carpet, Wilde’s quote rings especially true. I often talk of Africa’s wild spaces as the source of our greatest joy, but our memories do that for us, too – these strands of nostalgia and happiness are always accessible in the recesses of our consciousness. More often than not, it’s the memories of life-changing travel and the precious moments of togetherness that imprint on us the most, making incredible trips like this one all the more meaningful.
Indeed, this extraordinary journey of the heart and soul to Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya and Rwanda is, in many ways, an homage to my memories of a life lived to the fullest in Africa, imbued with adventure, authenticity and the primal connection with nature we all crave. To share these pristine, inimitably beautiful places that have shaped me and my team into the people, conservationists and proud Africans that we are today at their exact peak moment – Victoria Falls in flow, Botswana’s Okavango Delta in flood and full of greenery attracting wildlife, Kenya’s Maasai Mara during the height of the great migration, and Rwanda’s mountain gorillas in the best, sun-filled conditions for trekking. This trip is an elixir that is, without a doubt, the catalyst for change and possibly growth. The memories we make each summer fuel my imagination and feed my soul. I can hardly believe we’re taking off once more with ten guests to embark on what I know down to my bones is The Greatest Safari on Earth. This mind-expanding, heart-opening, soulful journey will ensure you find your greatest sense of joy and clarity on what really matters.
“We flew like angels, we soared. We shook our heads in wonder, we closed our eyes in prayer. Deb, and team, words will never be enough. Your vision, your power, your exquisite execution - only here there is no contrast, no one can compete. Eternally grateful” – Guest 2022

The thrill of The Greatest Safari on Earth lies in the unexpected. No matter how many times one stands tall on African soil, there is something new to discover, see, feel and remember. The delicate art of design behind The Greatest Safari on Earth lies in both igniting the senses and marinating the soul. Imagine the exhilaration of facing the force and power of the 354-foot gush of Victoria Falls, then easing into the twists and turns of our world’s largest inland delta in Botswana before fully immersing in the sheer wonder of witnessing two million hooves thundering across the Kenyan savannah and bravely leaping across the predator-laced Mara River. Lastly, finding our ultimate peace in the presence of the gentle mountain gorilla nestled deep under Rwanda’s emerald rainforest canopies. These critically endangered creatures share 98% of our DNA and mirror the best of our humanity – our playfulness, loyalty, fortitude and capacity for unconditional love. It is so fitting that The Greatest Safari on Earth ends with these precious primates. The memory of their wise eyes meeting yours, surrounded by swirling mist and sacred volcanoes, is a moment that stays with you forever.
To experience this volume of awe, beauty and intimacy in a mere twelve days changes you. The warmth of the people and the reality of fully immersing in the rich African culture is profoundly humbling. Our need for intimacy in human life is as great as thirst or hunger. We receive it in stories, touch or sharing exchanges that cant be anticipated or even curated. In africa we are more open, more still and in that vulnerability so much more alive.
“I can no longer describe the beauty I have seen. Superlatives seem inadequate, as does everything else. This was perfection - Each moment astonishing. Each location extraordinary. In Africa, once is not enough." – Guest, 2022
I invite you to follow along with us over these next two weeks on The Greatest Safari on Earth. The memories we will make will nurture our imaginations, awaken our senses and inspire our conversations.
“Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would do something like this. To be able to see these many places and meet such amazing people in such a short amount of time, made it The Greatest Safari on Earth.” – Guest, The Greatest Safari on Earth, 2022
